Medior/​Senior JavaScript Developer (with a touch of generalist)

In the last few years, our team has expe­ri­enced sub­stan­tial growth, now boast­ing a robust team of 40 tal­ent­ed indi­vid­u­als. Cur­rent­ly, we are active­ly seek­ing a skilled and expe­ri­enced medior or senior devel­op­er to work on a very diverse set of our in house projects.

Hybrid

You will be work­ing at our beau­ti­ful office in Kon­tich, Ghent. Com­bined with work­ing at home or one of our oth­er offices.

Most of all, we’re look­ing for a ​“team fit”. We are look­ing for some­one who pri­ori­tis­es long term over short term. Some­one with a mind of their own but enough com­mon sense to empathise with our clien­t’s con­text and the abil­i­ty to adapt our pro­pos­als accord­ing­ly. A per­son with eager­ness to make our com­pa­ny a great place to work for every­one on board and, obvi­ous­ly, a great part­ner for our clients.

Most of the projects we do require you to work on B2B appli­ca­tions lever­ag­ing JavaScript, both on the front- and the back­end. For this role we’re look­ing for some­one who does both sides at least equal­ly well or has a slight pref­er­ence for the fron­tend. Hav­ing some rel­e­vant expe­ri­ence in back­end (JavaScript) is still nec­es­sary to achieve our goals. Devops-knowl­edge (like some con­fig­u­ra­tion on AWS or Azure) is a nice plus.

Next to our ​“nor­mal” projects we also do some more exper­i­men­tal and/​or cre­ative devel­op­ment, involv­ing things like Uni­ty, WebGL, 3D mod­el­ling, and LLM-inte­gra­tions. Knowl­edge of Python and C# can make your pro­file stand out. Hav­ing an open mind­set and a ​“can do” men­tal­i­ty does the job as well.

About the job

As a Medior/​Senior JavaScript Devel­op­er, you will:

  • Work on a vari­ety of B2B projects using JavaScript on both the fron­tend and backend.
  • Con­tribute to more exper­i­men­tal or cre­ative projects involv­ing tech­nolo­gies like Uni­ty, WebGL, and LLM integrations.
  • Col­lab­o­rate with our team, pri­or­i­tize long-term client rela­tion­ships, and adapt pro­pos­als based on their needs.
  • Bring an open mind­set and help us cre­ate a pos­i­tive work envi­ron­ment for everyone.

Qualifications

To be suc­cess­ful in this role, you should have:

  • Proven expe­ri­ence in web appli­ca­tion devel­op­ment using JavaScript and Node.js.
  • Strong knowl­edge of web tech­nolo­gies, frame­works, and databases.
  • Expe­ri­ence with REST­ful API design and integration.
  • Expe­ri­ence with Uni­ty, WebGL, or LLM inte­gra­tions is a plus.
  • Knowl­edge of Python and/​or C# is a plus.
  • Effec­tive prob­lem-solv­ing and debug­ging skills.
  • Excel­lent com­mu­ni­ca­tion and team­work skills.
  • Abil­i­ty to men­tor and guide junior developers.
  • Based in Bel­gium with Dutch com­pre­hen­sion at a C1/C2 lev­el.
